Falun Dafa (a word meaning "practice of the law wheel" where the law is also referred to as "Dharma") is a contemporary polytheistic religion that was founded in China by Mr. Li Hong Zhi in 1992 CE.  It is a combination of mostly Buddhist and Taoist traditions and philosophical purview, with an emphasis on Qi Gong practice (which often resembles Tai Chi) and its three central tenets of Compassion, Forbearance, and Truthfulness.
